My client, an established mid sized accountancy practice in North Dublin is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing team.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant (1–3 years PQE) with strong practice experience who can take ownership of their own portfolio and support the development of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities - Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors, delivering high-quality accounting and compliance services
- Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Oversee and review the preparation and filing of VAT, income tax, and corporation tax returns
- Support audit engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and deadlines
- Provide insights and analysis through monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Supervise and support junior staff, providing training, review of work, and guidance on technical matters
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience - Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience in practice – essential
- Strong technical knowledge across accounts preparation and tax compliance
- Previous experience managing client portfolios independently
- Comfortable mentoring junior staff and delegating work appropriately
- Proficient in Xero, Bright Accounts Production, and ROS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client focused mindset
- Organised, proactive, and confident working both independently and as part of a team
Working Hours 09:00AM – 17:30PM, full-time office based with flexibility offered to support work-life balance
Candidate must have a Stamp / EU Passport to be considered.
